Our crab meat is picked fresh at our Hoopersville, Maryland plant, with crabs bought from our harvesters daily. Our factory has been in operation for over 60 years with the same brand name – Mary Ellen Brand a combination of the original founder’s wives names. Lindy’s Seafood Inc. acquired Ruark & Ashton in 1992, and has been picking quality Maryland crab meat ever since.
Rest assured that every pound of crabmeat you buy from Ruark & Ashton license MD-119C is guaranteed a product of the USA and is packaged by us at our plant. Our plant is regularly inspected by both the Maryland Health Department and FDA.
Captain Vincent's Chesapeake Bay Oysters
Captain Millard E. Price of Deal Island, MD began his career as a skip jack captain oystering Maryland's Chesapeake Bay in the early 1900s.
From that family tradition, we began wholesaling and became the company we are today. In honor of this tradition, we branded our oysters Captain Vincent's - a brand built on hard work, tradition and the bounty of the Chesapeake Bay.
